I have some ideas for the next Matrix. I know it won't be made but fun to write. Maybe, just, maybe the Wachowski brothers will do it.
Bits: Neo's niece lives in a psych ward. Somebody calls her name. Giving a random name: Cassandra. She wears a green smock in a green room, continuing the green pallet of the Matrix series. She didn't want to behave before, but now that someone has called her name she's decided to pick up her act. Sitting across from the psychiatrist, who looks a little like Morpheus, she obediently talks and finally is ejected from the psych ward, given just an envelope with $11 and paperwork that says basic psych ward junk by a woman who looks a little like the woman who gave Neo cookies. Her leg has cellulitis and is bubbling and starting to puss from her stay at the psych ward.
~ She walks out of there, ditching her shoes because they hurt her. She walks awhile, trying to get a ride back to her parent's house in Ohio. Because of the cellulitis, she goes to the ER that she passes, and because the nurse saw her paperwork, ambulance drivers come to take her away. She fights them and screams, but they strap her to the stretcher, and she is psych warded in psych ward 2. Over time it becomes apparent that the machine will psych ward her forever, and she has to be content with her life of helping others escape the Matrix.
~ Somehow, somehow, she ends up as a DJ in Los Angeles County, sticking out from the crowd in her green smock.
The light show would be awesome!
~ At some point she's racing in a pickup truck on the main interstate from California to the east. For visuals!
~ Psych warded again she finds someone who looks like a young, heavier Neo who says he played drums in a band and now was focused on acting, which he wholeheartedly enjoyed. He was just looking for bit parts now, but he was homeless. His drums are stored at his dad's. (I met this person, and he did look like Neo.) He said, "Money is the root of all evil" and "The problem with the world are the assholes, and they have all the money" or maybe it was "Assholes have all the money." This is Neo as he is reincarnated in the fake world with a better life for him. Attached to the machine, he simply reincarnated. So far for good instincts. Cassandra leaves him there after trying to discern whether he was her uncle because the similarities were uncanny.
~ Characters might just decide to make the fake world better for the human race because some wouldn't want to leave, and it may be unrealistic to have all those pods open.
~ She finds Neo and smacks her cousin, laying on the table. He wakes up and says, "Ow."
~ Neo fights in my neighborhood, going flora to flora. My neighborhood looks so cinematic for this with interesting terrain everywhere. The colors are excellent.
I'm basing some of this on real life, and I think it's coming out pretty well. Does anybody have some real life events that could be added? Obviously, there are a lot of holes (it is mostly holes), especially with the Neo line.
